About Our Center
In 1996, Bill and Kathy's daughter, Ali, was born with Down Syndrome. They realized that with some help, their beautiful child could develop to her full potential. A lifelong horsewoman, K
athy began to explore the idea of a Hippotherapy program, and traveled to different centers around Colorado to learn all she could. Believing that Hippotherapy would benefit others besides Ali, the Hamm's bought 36 acres west of Olathe, Colorado. Dream Catcher Therapy Center, or DCTC, was founded in 1999, starting with two personal horses and an arena.
Since then DCTC has grown into a full-time operation with licensed therapists, counselors, 16 well-mannered horses, and it has hosted over 1200 disabled children and adults. DCTC continues to be a training center for the AHA and is approved as a Special Olympic equestrian center.
Our Mission
Dream Catcher Therapy Center is a program for children and adults who have physical and mental health challenges. We seek to enhance their physical and psychological development through interaction with horses in a unique, clinical setting.
End of the Trail Mission
To offer horses a second chance to be cared, nurtured, and valued. To provide shelter and humane treatment to horses that have been abused, neglected or unwanted. Educate the community with reference to animal abuse as well as how or where to report it

Dream Catcher is the site of choice in Southwestern Colorado for promoting year-round Hippotherapy, EAP (equine assisted psychotherapy) and EAL (equine assisted learning) with expertise that is respected by therapists, clients, and equine professionals.
